Helen Newman has been appointed as Bidwells’ new Group Head of Sustainability. Previously with CBRE and Fabrix, Newman’s expertise in sustainable development, finance, and ESG strategies uniquely positions her to lead Bidwells’ sustainability initiatives.
“Helen’s strategic and holistic approach will unlock multiple benefits beyond financial returns, ensuring our investments are future-proof and beneficial for communities and nature,” a Bidwells spokesperson said.
Background and Experience: Newman, who left CBRE last summer, was pivotal as head of sustainable capital. She recently joined Fabrix, known for its £180m project in London, which includes a mini forest atop the former Blackfriars Crown Court in Southwark. Although the project is undergoing a rethink due to affordability issues, Newman’s involvement highlights her capability in managing high-profile, sustainable developments.
Additionally, Newman has consulted for British Land, Grosvenor, and GPE, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to Bidwells.
