Kirsten Flanik has been appointed CEO of Revolt North America, marking a strategic move to bolster the consultancy’s presence in the U.S. market. Previously, Flanik served as President and CEO of BBDO New York, where she led the agency for seven years, driving business evolution and creative solutions for iconic brands.

I was extremely choiceful about my next chapter. The opportunity to become a part of an organization that is helping clients transform the way they do business for the better is something I was immediately drawn to,” said Flanik. “There is an incredible depth of knowledge, expansive capabilities, and the right bench of experts within the Revolt and broader Anthesis offering. The time is right to expand across North America, and I am thrilled to help lead this effort.

Revolt, launched in 2017, has rapidly become a leader in purpose strategy, guiding clients like ABInBev, Diageo, Kraft Heinz, Mars, and PepsiCo towards sustainable performance. The company was recently acquired by Anthesis, a global sustainability firm, to enhance its organizational and brand strategy capabilities.

Dean Sanders, Anthesis Chief Enterprise Officer, highlighted the significance of this move: “Revolt now has world-class expertise and experience in purpose consulting, strategy, and communication. This is critical to meet the growing needs of C-Suites and brands looking to define a purpose-driven strategic position that drives corporate and brand strategy, not to mention a broader range of audiences including government, investors, a new generation of employees, and a highly informed public.

We won’t live up to our own purpose without a thriving North America business, and nobody is better placed to drive this faster and deeper than Kirsten.

Flanik’s track record at BBDO includes numerous accolades, such as “Woman to Watch” and one of the “100 Most Influential Women in Advertising” by Ad Age. Her appointment is seen as a pivotal step in reinforcing Revolt’s mission to integrate purpose-driven strategies with practical, actionable solutions for its clients.
