These strategic agreements between Meta and Solarpack will enable the construction of two solar projects with a total capacity of 210 MW (280 MWdc), supporting Meta’s presence in Indiana, including its recently announced $800 million data center.
Solarpack is thrilled to advance its projects in Indiana with Meta as a partner. Meta, a technology company leading the energy transition, continues its commitment to sustainability by signing two long-term Environmental Attribute Purchase Agreements (EAPAs) with Solarpack, a global renewable energy company based in Spain. These two agreements with Solarpack will deliver renewable energy to support Meta’s growing operations in the region.
Under the agreement, Meta will purchase the output from Solarpack’s two solar projects in Indiana totaling 210 MW (280 MWdc).
Indiana generates 10% of its energy from renewables. These two projects help advance the state towards a carbon-free future while generating community benefits and jobs.
Since 2020, Meta’s global operations have been supported by 100% renewable energy and have reached net zero emissions. The company also has an ambitious goal to reach net zero emissions across its value chain in 2030.
