Vision 2030: Scaling Sustainability

PUMA has announced its Vision 2030 sustainability goals, elevating its previous commitments to create a larger impact across climate, circularity, and human rights.

Climate Leadership

PUMA’s climate goals include cutting Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 90% and Scope 3 emissions by 33% by 2030 from a 2017 baseline. The company also aims to increase renewable energy use at its core suppliers and transition to less carbon-intensive materials.

Notable progress includes an 8% drop in emissions in 2023 compared to 2022 and recognition from CDP, Fashion Revolution, and the Financial Times for decarbonization and transparency efforts

Circularity Ambitions

By 2030, PUMA plans to:

  • Use 100% recycled polyester fabric, including 30% from Fibre-to-Fibre sources.
  • Source 20% of cotton fabric from recycled materials.
  • Expand textile-to-textile recycling and invest in next-generation materials, especially for footwear.

The RE:FIBRE program has already resulted in millions of football jerseys made from recycled textiles.

Human Rights and Equity

PUMA’s human rights initiatives for 2030 aim to:

  • Close the gender pay gap across all countries of operation.
  • Train 400,000 supply chain workers on human rights.
  • Implement progressive wage increases to achieve a living wage at core factories.

PUMA also plans to foster diversity, equity, and inclusion in its global operations.
