SUMMARY:Total Health 2022
DESCRIPTION:Our healthcare system is unsustainable.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBurnout has reached pandemic levels\, demand on services mounts dramatically\, the cost of care continues to rise and populations suffer worse than ever from unequal access. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe time for change is now\, but uncertainty is rife. While the pandemic showed us the power of what’s possible when the health system unites\, healthcare leaders must work out how to embrace data-sharing regulations that provide more choice and power to the patient while transitioning business models toward a system of value-based care. It is paramount to facilitate employer collaborations in line with new standards in working-life\, and work hand-in hand with a host of new direct to consumer disruptors that enter the market\, vying with incumbent providers or health plans. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAt Total Health 2022 CEOs\, innovators\, disruptors and policy makers will join forces to behind a vital mission: building a resilient health system through innovation to ensure gold standard of health for all. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTweets by Reuters\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nESG News Editorial TeamThe ESG News Editorial Team is comprised of veteran financial journalists and sustainability analysts dedicated to providing real-time\, objective reporting on global ESG regulations\, climate finance\, and corporate governance. SUMMARY:ESG: Unlocking Impact Through Education #UNGA77
DESCRIPTION:A new approach to ESG and Corporate Social Responsibility\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis event is open to ESG\, social impact\, corporate philanthropy and sustainability professionals. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvidence demonstrates strong correlations between education and diverse outcomes ranging from health\, climate\, economic growth and wages to equity\, diversity and inclusion. This event will explore how corporate actions\, small and large\, can make a quantifiable and direct impact across all aspects of environmental\, social and governance (ESG) priorities. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCompanies traditionally committed to education as a social impact priority are finding it difficult to justify these efforts under new ESG frameworks linked to risk mitigation and sustainability. Similarly\, ESG professionals do not view acting on education as leverage point to advance ESG objectives.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe discussion will provide a framework for investment in education to mitigate risk\, improve corporate performance\, and enhance corporate perception. while making a more tangible impact on society. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTweets by gbceducation\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nESG News Editorial TeamThe ESG News Editorial Team is comprised of veteran financial journalists and sustainability analysts dedicated to providing real-time\, objective reporting on global ESG regulations\, climate finance\, and corporate governance. SUMMARY:Is vaccine nationalism undermining the global economic recovery?
DESCRIPTION:Bringing the pandemic to an end in 2022\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister Here\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIs vaccine nationalism undermining the global economic recovery? It has been 2 years since COVID-19 first struck\, leaving a devastating trail in its wake. In the first 12 months of the pandemic\, the global economy shrunk 3.2% while global trade is estimated to have fallen 5.3%. While 2021 has seen many developed countries begin their economic recovery\, a report by the International Chamber of Commerce has warned that letting the developing world fall behind could cost the global economy US$9.2 trillion. Although advanced economies have committed to sharing resources\, recent figures show that six times as many booster jabs have been given out in high-income countries compared to first jabs in low and mid-income countries. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe global target to vaccinate 70% of people in all country income categories by September 2022 is going to require a huge shift in momentum\, and at the current rate\, this wouldn’t be achieved for over a decade. Vaccine distribution remains a key issue\, as is the absence of a global plan to tackle this global pandemic. If significant progress isn’t made towards ending the pandemic everywhere in 2022\, particularly with dangerous new variants continuing to emerge\, the global economic impact could be devastating. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis digital webinar\, hosted by the Financial Times and in partnership with the ONE Campaign\, will explore the issues facing the pandemic response in developing countries and what high-income countries can do to accelerate the recovery process in these regions. We will discuss how achieving vaccine parity could be a key driver on the road to recovery for the global pandemic. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAgenda – Vaccine nationalism undermining the global economic recovery?\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOpening remarks from FT Chair\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPanel Discussion\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHow will the continued spread of COVID and the emergence of new variants impact the global economic recovery? Is vaccine equity the answer to preventing new mutations?\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat are the dangers of ignoring the uneven recovery of the global economy?\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat must be done to ensure that the global target set to vaccinate 70% of people in every country by September 2022 becomes a reality\, and what’s at stake if it’s not done?\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBesides the 70% target\, what do we need to achieve at the Global Vaccine Summit in February? What does success look like\, and what’s needed to get there?\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat investment in healthcare and manufacturing infrastructure is needed to aid developing countries’ recovery?\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nQ&A with audience\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClosing remarks from FT Chair\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTweets by ftlive\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nhttps://esgnews.com/esg-lifestyle/ \n\n\nESG News Editorial TeamThe ESG News Editorial Team is comprised of veteran financial journalists and sustainability analysts dedicated to providing real-time\, objective reporting on global ESG regulations\, climate finance\, and corporate governance.
