DESCRIPTION:REGIONAL SEMINAR ASIA PACIFIC \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nKick-starting our Climate Bonds CONNECT 2022 event series is our Asia Pacific Regional Seminar in Singapore\, where we will convene local and regional actors and focus the conversations on the Asia Pacific region’s priorities to accelerate the development of the sustainable debt market.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAs a region on the front line of climate change impacts\, organisations in Asia have been working relentlessly with significant capacity-building projects in the region. The growing volume of Sovereign labelled issuances for infrastructure investments\, including sustainable Islamic finance growth and Green Sukuk issuances\, positions the region as an influential player in the transitioning of the green finance economy. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe combination of net-zero commitments; policy action; green hubs; global investors; and banking sector support in the region will help pave the way for sustainable growth paths needed to raise the $5trillion of climate bonds issuance per year by 2025. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClimate Bonds Connect 2022: Combining the power of in-person and with the reach of online participation\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWith a mix of invitation-only in-person participation and a larger online audience connected to the discussions\, the Asia Pacific Regional Seminar will combine the power of in-person events with the reach and flexibility that online participation provides to drive the sustainable finance agenda forward. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLeading investors\, financial leaders and policymakers from across the region will convene in Singapore this October to discuss potential solutions and opportunities for both private sector and governments in moving their economies onto a Paris-aligned pathway. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTweets by ClimateBonds
