Groups join forces to launch Well-Being Event Series to highlight the rising importance of health and humanity in improving ESG performance and in reimagining the future of corporate culture.

The International WELL Building Institute, the premier organization focused on deploying people-first places to advance a global culture of health, announced today it is collaborating with Humanity 2.0, a non-profit organization working in conjunction with the Holy See (Vatican) to identify and remove the most significant impediments to human flourishing, will launch and lead a new Well-Being Event Series focused on the role health and humanity play in changing corporate culture, addressing human and social capital and enhancing ESG performance.

The event series kicks off February 28 live from the Nasdaq MarketSite where prominent leaders from across business, finance, policy and academia will come together to explore the theme of “Putting ‘H’ (Humanity and Health) Into ESG.”

IWBI has a long history of elevating human health, well-being and equity across the investment landscape. The organization’s Investing for Health initiative has been working since 2019 to highlight how health and organizational performance are intrinsically linked – and a key priority this year is showing that health and well-being are not only material to a business’s bottom line, but help influence and underpin all of ESG, and particularly across the social pillar.

“We are excited to be working with Humanity 2.0, whose efforts to identify important global initiatives, forge partnerships and introduce scientific solutions are so aligned with our own,” said IWBI President and CEO Rachel Hodgdon.  “This collaboration will help amplify all the voices supporting and advancing efforts to integrate technology, policies and advocacy in a safe and sustainable way that will help all of us thrive.”

The collaboration will also build upon Humanity 2.0’s Well-Being initiative and external advocacy efforts by featuring key Humanity 2.0 participants, media and thought-leaders.

“IWBI has established itself as the global leader in pioneering a new generation of healthy buildings,” said Matthew Sanders, CEO and Co-founder of Humanity 2.0. “Whether it be our workplaces, schools, or our homes, IWBI has set a new bar for transforming four walls and a roof into vehicles of health and welln-being. Humanity 2.0 is looking forward to working closely with IWBI on this event series to further our common mission of promoting human flourishing.”

Next week’s inaugural event on February 28 – Putting ‘H’ (Humanity and Health) Into ESG – will bring fresh ideas and perspectives to a rapidly evolving ESG backdrop through conversations, panels and keynotes at the iconic Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square in New York City. The day-long programming will explore how companies develop and navigate their own ESG strategies, to tools and frameworks that support human and social capital reporting, to the latest developments in sustainable finance, regulatory compliance and stakeholder demand.
