Climate Asset Management (CAM) announced the final close of its Natural Capital Fund and Nature-Based Carbon Fund, raising over $1 billion. Partnering with Apple’s Restore Fund, the funds focus on natural capital projects globally, contributing to both financial returns and environmental outcomes. HSBC, the anchor investor, and companies like GSK, Tokyo Gas, and Carrier have also committed.

Reaching the milestone of our first $1 billion of commitments is a testimony to the vision of our founding shareholders and team, said Martin Berg, CEO of Climate Asset Management.

CAM’s investments are aligned with international environmental goals, including the Paris Agreement. Projects include regenerative agriculture in Australia, sustainable forestry in New Zealand, and agroforestry projects in Africa, spanning over two million hectares.

The Natural Capital Fund targets financial returns through regenerative agriculture, sustainable forestry, and environmental assets in developed markets. German insurer Gothaer committed $100 million, highlighting the appeal among institutional investors.
