Allianz UK has appointed Bethany Thomas as the Head of Sustainability in a newly created role, centralizing their sustainability strategy. This senior position highlights Allianz’s commitment to sustainability across its diverse portfolio, including brands like Petplan and LV=.

In her new role, Thomas will report to CFO Ulf Lange and will spearhead the UK sustainability strategy across commercial, personal, specialty, and central corporate functions. Her responsibilities include aligning with Allianz Group in Germany and other UK entities to meet net-zero targets, decarbonize operational emissions, and assist customers and brokers in their net-zero transitions.

Bethany Thomas’s extensive experience with Allianz, beginning in 2014 on the underwriting graduate scheme, positions her well for this role. She has held various roles, including Head of Multinational and Executive Assistant to the Global Head of Property and Casualty, focusing on sustainability for the P&C business. Recently, she led the CEO office team, managing projects, governance, reporting, and strategy.
