Billionaire philanthropist MacKenzie Scott has donated $133.5 million to Communities in School, the educational nonprofit.
The charity helps students at risk of dropping out and provides resources to 1.6 million kids in 26 states, according to its website. Scott’s gift is the largest unrestricted donation in the program’s history.
According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Scott’s net worth totals $46.6 billion. Since her divorce from Jeff Bezos in 2019, Scott has donated more than $8.6 billion of her wealth, according to a Forbes compilation published in January.
