Ricoh sustainability manager Wong Yee Thing joins Accenture

Wong moves on after 11 years with Ricoh Asia Pacific to a sustainability role at Accenture.

(Eco-Business) – Ricoh Asia Pacific’s long-serving sustainability executive Wong Yee Thing has moved on after 11 years with the Japanese imaging and electronics company to join Accenture.

She takes on the position of corporate sustainability and environment associate manager. Her role will involve providing environmental advice to stakeholders and implementing environmental strategy.

Accenture’s services include advising firms on sustainability strategy. In September, Accenture published a report with the World Economic Forum that found that companies with deeply embedded sustainable practices generate over 20 per cent more in profit as well as environmental and societal impact.

Wong joined Ricoh Asia Pacific’s regional environmental management group in 2010, and was appointed manager of the group in 2016. Among her achievements during her time with the company is Eco Action Day, a business-led environmental awareness campaign in Singapore that has run since 2007, to commemorate World Environment Day.

Before Ricoh, Wong had stints at Estee Lauder, Fuhrmeister Electronics, and Akebono Corporation Asia.
