- Only 16% of major global companies are on track to reach Net Zero by 2050.
- EcoVadis’ new Carbon Data Network (CDN) enhances reliability and transparency of primary carbon data across supply chains.
- Partnerships with Sweep and Normative enable direct, seamless access to primary emissions data, significantly easing Scope 3 reporting burdens.
EcoVadis unveiled its groundbreaking Carbon Data Network (CDN) at the Sustain 2025 conference, marking a critical advancement in Scope 3 emissions transparency and management. Built on a robust network of over 150,000 organizations, CDN provides businesses with unmatched insights into the reliability of suppliers’ primary carbon data, crucial for effective decarbonization.
Currently, only 16% of the world’s largest corporations are meeting their Net Zero commitments, underscoring the urgent need for accurate carbon measurement and accountability. The introduction of regulatory frameworks such as the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism has further amplified the necessity for precise and verifiable emissions data.

“The journey to Net Zero demands bold action, collaboration and trust in data. This is why we are innovating to increase data availability and reliability through automation and AI. With the network that we’ve built we are now able to generate insights on carbon reliability at a datapoint level,” said Pierre-François Thaler, cofounder and co-CEO of EcoVadis.

EcoVadis’ CDN leverages its Carbon Action Manager (CAM) platform, enabling tailored supplier engagement based on maturity levels to drive tangible emissions reductions. Companies within the network benefit from integrated tools, including Corrective Action Plans, a Carbon Estimator, and training via EcoVadis Academy.
Strategic collaborations with carbon accounting providers Sweep and Normative further amplify the network’s effectiveness. These partnerships facilitate seamless, secure data integration, reducing reporting complexity. A successful pilot with Sweep allowed mutual client SNCF to effortlessly gather carbon data from hundreds of suppliers, while an ongoing pilot with Normative promises similar outcomes.
“Our goal is to empower companies with insights and make it easier for them to access primary supplier data exactly where they conduct their Scope 3 calculations. By expanding our ecosystem with partners like Sweep and Normative, we’re helping businesses to move from industry averages to primary emissions data and seamlessly bring it into their reporting and decarbonization efforts,” said Julia Salant, General Manager, Carbon Solution at EcoVadis.

EcoVadis is actively expanding its partnership ecosystem to accelerate global decarbonization efforts across supply chains.
