ERM and Workiva Form Partnership to Enhance Climate and Sustainability Reporting for Clients

ERM

ERM, the largest global specialist sustainability consultancy, has announced a strategic partnership with Workiva, one of the world’s leading cloud platforms for assured integrated reporting. Together, ERM and Workiva will advise businesses and provide cloud-based technology solutions to collect and manage ESG data and disclosures in real time to shape their sustainability reporting.

Workiva simplifies the most complex reporting and disclosure challenges by streamlining processes, connecting data and teams, and ensuring consistency, all within a secure, audit-ready cloud platform. The Workiva platform combines data integrity and collaboration with control, providing a centralized hub for ESG data that can be mapped to reporting frameworks.

Such capabilities, when combined with ERM’s sustainability strategy and disclosure, climate change, and EHS depth and credibility, will offer companies an end-to-end solution for data management and reporting that enables them to meet rapidly evolving sustainability reporting regulations while driving sustainability performance.

Gerard Spans, Global Head of Digital Services at ERM, said: “We are delighted to join forces with Workiva and support our global clients across the implementation lifecycle. Working together on our clients’ pre-deployment strategies and delivering data analytics, design, and change management plans will help enable them to successfully meet their ambitious ESG goals.

The expansion of new global ESG regulations, such as the climate disclosure rules introduced by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), are driving the convergence of non-financial and financial reporting. Workiva is the only platform in the industry bringing Financial Reporting, ESG, and GRC together in one secure, controlled, audit-ready environment for true assured integrated reporting,” said Paul Volpe, Senior Vice President of Growth at Workiva.

Together with ERM, our mutual clients will be able to streamline their ESG reporting, operationalize their sustainability strategies, and collaborate in real-time, all of which are required to help customers address regulatory requirements but more importantly drive their business goals.

Luiz Guimarães, Global Service Leader, Corporate Sustainability & Climate Change at ERM said: “As a full-service, global strategic partner to Workiva, ERM is excited to provide its clients with a technically robust and assurable sustainability reporting solution.

Ultimately, our clients will gain real-time access to data that informs their risk management-to-value creation journey. Our partnership with Workiva will help our clients be ready for emerging ESG disclosure regulations and, in the process, advance their business strategy.

Kushal Mashru, Head of Strategic Partnerships at ERM, said: “At ERM, we are continuing to expand our ecosystem of partners to cover every area of the sustainability value chain, to help our clients meet their evolving goals.
