Bermuda is already the world’s risk capital and is now looking to establish itself as a world capital for climate risk finance, the most adjacent vertical to our key market strengths: re/insurance, Insurance-Linked Securities (ILS), and financial services expertise.  Bermuda not only has many of the world’s leading experts on weather-related catastrophes already based here in our globally significant property catastrophe reinsurance market, but we also have a financial services regulator, in the form of the Bermuda Monetary Authority, which understands the importance of climate concerns.
