Google Launches AI for Energy Accelerator in Europe & Israel to Drive Clean Energy Innovation

  • AI Accelerator targets startups transforming Europe’s energy system with AI-driven solutions for grid modernization, load optimization, and industrial decarbonization.
  • Selected startups gain access to Google’s AI tools, cloud infrastructure, and expert mentorship through a 12-week equity-free program.
  • Applications close June 30, 2025; the program kicks off in September with virtual and in-person components across Europe and Israel.

Google is scaling its commitment to clean energy transformation with the launch of its AI for Energy Accelerator in Europe and Israel, aimed at supporting startups using artificial intelligence to drive energy security, industrial competitiveness, and decarbonization.

We believe that AI presents a significant opportunity to help meet Europe’s ambitious climate targets while boosting economic growth,” Google stated.
But meeting this opportunity requires modernising European energy systems, enhancing grid security and reliability, and empowering industrial transformation.”

Following its successful North America rollout earlier this year, the 12-week Google for Startups Accelerator: AI for Energy opens the door for European and Israeli innovators to scale energy-focused AI solutions with support from industry experts, Google mentors, and ecosystem partners.
