Meta Secures Nearly 800 MW in New Clean Energy from Invenergy to Power Data Center Expansion
  • Meta adds 791 MW of wind and solar power through four new Invenergy deals, pushing total capacity from the partnership to 1,800 MW.
  • Over 740 MW of new clean energy will be generated in Ohio alone, supporting Meta’s growing AI and data infrastructure needs.
  • All projects are expected to begin commercial operations in 2027, with Meta receiving clean energy credits from the local grid-supplied power.

Meta has signed four new clean energy agreements with Invenergy totaling 791 MW, reinforcing its push to power expansive data center and AI operations with sustainable electricity. These deals elevate Meta’s total procured capacity from Invenergy to 1,800 MW.

We’re laser-focused on advancing our AI ambitions—and to do that, we need clean, reliable energy,” said Urvi Parekh, Meta’s Head of Global Energy. “We’re grateful for Invenergy’s longtime partnership that helps us support our energy needs and implement our clean energy goals.”
