Schneider Electric’s Sustainability Milestone:

Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, exceeded its 2024 sustainability targets with a Sustainability Impact (SSI) score of 7.55, outpacing the 7.40 goal. This performance underscores Schneider’s rigorous commitment to its 11 global ESG commitments, measured and reported quarterly.

“These remarkable achievements, alongside other key ESG recognitions, inspire us to reach even greater heights in 2025,” said Chris Leong, Chief Sustainability Officer at Schneider Electric. “As we enter the final year of our Sustainability Impact program, we are determined to continue transforming ambition into action.”

Driving Carbon Reduction and Supplier Impact:

Since 2018, Schneider Electric’s energy-efficient products, software, and services enabled customers to save and avoid 679 million tonnes of CO2. The Zero Carbon Project engaged 1,000 top suppliers, driving a 40% reduction in emissions by the end of 2024.

Suppliers also showed significant progress in ethical practices, with 63% meeting Schneider’s standards for fair wages, safe work environments, and labor conditions, up from 21% at the end of 2023.

Expanding Global Access to Clean Energy:

Schneider’s projects brought clean and reliable electricity to 53.4 million people, exceeding its 50 million target a year early. Initiatives like solar microgrids in Africa not only improved living standards but also boosted local economies.

The company also trained 824,000 people in energy management, progressing towards its 1 million goal by 2025. Through its Youth Education & Entrepreneurship program, Schneider empowers youth with energy efficiency skills for careers in sustainable industries.

Continued ESG Excellence:

For the 14th consecutive year, Schneider Electric secured its place in the DJSI World Index, achieved a spot on CDP’s A list, and maintained a AAA rating from MSCI ESG. Additionally, the company received a Platinum medal from EcoVadis.
