Trane Technologies a global climate innovator, has named Mauro Atalla as its new Chief Technology and Sustainability Officer, effective January 5, 2025. Atalla will lead the company’s product development, innovation, and sustainability strategies, reporting directly to Chair and CEO Dave Regnery as part of the executive leadership team.

Atalla’s Role:

As Chief Technology and Sustainability Officer, Atalla will oversee the integration of technologies into product roadmaps to align with Trane’s 2030 Sustainability Commitments. His work will focus on delivering sustainable solutions that drive business growth and global market impact.

Proven Leadership:

Atalla brings over 26 years of experience in the industrial sector, including roles in aerospace and building industries. At Collins Aerospace Systems, he led a global team of 21,000 engineers, spearheading technology development, sustainability initiatives, and major integrations such as the Rockwell Collins acquisition and the merger between United Technologies and Raytheon.

Atalla’s credentials include:

  • A doctorate in engineering mechanics from Virginia Tech.
  • An MBA from Duke University.
  • Recognition as a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers in 2023.
  • The 2024 Aerospace Executive Award from SAE International.

Leadership Transition:

Atalla succeeds Paul Camuti, who will retire at the end of 2024 after a distinguished career at Trane Technologies. Camuti played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s sustainability strategy and technology roadmaps.
