Edmond de Rothschild Appoints Eric de Tessières as Chief Sustainability Officer

Edmond de Rothschild has appointed Eric de Tessières as Group Chief Sustainability Officer, reinforcing its longstanding ESG commitment. He reports directly to Deputy CEO Cynthia Tobiano and began the role on April 7.
“We are pleased to welcome Eric to Edmond de Rothschild. Sustainability is a long-standing commitment for our group. Eric will be able to navigate an increasingly restrictive regulatory environment and headwinds from the financial industry,” said Cynthia Tobiano.

Eric will lead and monitor the sustainability strategy across all investment platforms and products, both in asset management and private banking. His role includes internal alignment and external representation of the group’s ESG priorities—supported by specialists based in Paris and Geneva and a network of asset-class ambassadors.

With 50% of assets under management classified as SFDR Article 8 or 9, the group continues to scale its sustainable investment footprint. Edmond de Rothschild has been active in the space for over two decades, positioning itself as a serious player in ESG.
Eric brings nearly 20 years of experience in banking and sustainable finance. Most recently, he was COO of the Sustainability Center and Head of Solidarity Investments at BNP Paribas Asset Management. He previously held senior roles in finance, business development, and strategic projects at BNP Paribas Wealth Management and Investment Partners.
Eric is a graduate of HEC, holds CESGA certification, and is an alum of the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL).
