INTERVIEW TRANSCRIPTS:

Florian Weischer (President, SAWA, President Weischer Media)

Florian Weischer, President, SAWA (00:00):

I’m Florian Weischer from SAWA. Um, I’m also representative of the festival in Germany since a couple of years, since two decades already. I’m here for, for business purposes, of course, because, um, SAWA supports the UN campaign that’s running actually in cinemas, across the globe. That’s the main reason for being here. But besides that, we have clients with us, uh, that are, you know, advertisers on the big screen in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, where we operate. Um, so we combine fun, excitement and business. It’s a regular procedure. We do it since many years now. I, I think I became the festival representative in 1996, which is couple of years ago. Uh, it, it is a perfect combination. You’re in the heart of the communication industry. You can see what’s coming next. You can be in close, um, relation with ad agencies with media and with clients.

Florian Weischer, President, SAWA (00:54):

I think it’s a perfect, perfect place where it’s all United <laugh>. I love him. I love him. I couldn’t believe that it’s really working to put someone inside the costume and it seemed, it seemed real and you can see it. It was like a playground here on, on the beach. Uh, everyone was taking photos and videos. It’s like you offer kids, um, a very interesting tool and, uh, he, he grabs the attention, uh, right away. And I think that’s the same, or I think that’s the reason why the campaign will work as well. It will be one of the most successful campaigns, uh, that we are running for the UN for the sustainable development course. I’m sure it will be, whoa, it’s a terrible scare. You, I think, uh, every hour has one or two meetings. Um, but you know, this in advance, you know, you get here for four or five days and these days are packed. It’s not, it’s not holiday, even though it’s fun to be. Uh, but it’s really it’s you, you need to be in, in good shape to stand it <laugh>. But, uh, you know, you know, it’s, it’s four days and four nights and that’s it. And then you go back, everything’s quiet around you and then you’re relaxed. And then you’re fine. Again,

Matt Bird, Host, ESG News (02:05):

Put a special things out to the people you want. Thank for making all this happen

Florian Weischer, President, SAWA (02:08):

Time. First of all, I have to, to thank Cheryl. Of course, she’s my CEO at SAWA. I’m only the president. Uh, she made all the work and I have the pleasure to, to present it here, which is, uh, a great gift from her. But, uh, she has a family. Um, I, I think a big celebration with one of her daughters and I think it’s a good choice to put family on priority. Number one and lines on second that never happened before, but this year it happens. And so Cheryl, thank you very much for doing this for doing all the help. Um, and I’m very grateful that, uh, SAWA is so, uh, so performing well at this stage. So, and I think that’s mainly where I have to say, thank you. And I have to say thank you to the UN who is a, who is an excellent partner in, in this corporation. They’re they, they are communication experts. They know what to do. They know when a decision has to be taken. And I think they take the right decisions at the right time. So it’s a very good partner to work with. And, and I’m happy that they’re helping us putting a light shining on this medium cinema as well. And, uh, yeah, we are happy to contribute to that.
