Gulf International Bank (UK) appoints Victoria Barron as Chief Sustainability Officer

Gulf International Bank (GIB) Asset Management (UK) has appointed Victoria Barron as Chief Sustainability Officer. Barron will spearhead GIB’s sustainability agenda, enhancing governance frameworks and corporate sustainability projects.

Barron brings over 15 years of sustainable investing experience, including her recent role as Head of Sustainable Investment at BT Pension Scheme, the UK’s largest corporate pension scheme. At BT, she led the sustainable investment strategy and responsible asset management.

In addition to her new role, Barron co-chairs the ASCOR project (Assessing Climate Change Opportunities and Risks for Sovereign Issuers), an independent tool helping investors assess countries’ emissions trajectories, climate policies, and climate finance needs.
