Expanding Collaborative Efforts
Mizuho Financial Group and Lombard Odier Trust have signed a new memorandum of understanding (MOU) to bolster their sustainability initiatives. This MOU extends their existing strategic alliance, emphasizing a mutual commitment to advancing sustainability in Japan.
The expanded collaboration will provide Mizuho with access to Lombard Odier’s comprehensive range of sustainability strategies, tailored solutions for clients, and alignment with international standards. “We are delighted to partner with Lombard Odier to advance sustainability initiatives in Japan’s financial sector,” said Atsuhiro Morishima, Deputy Head of Retail & Business Banking at Mizuho.
Leveraging Global Expertise
As part of this alliance, Lombard Odier will act as a strategic advisor and consulting partner to Mizuho, bringing its global sustainability expertise to the Japanese market. This partnership aims to establish robust sustainability systems and enhance solutions for high-net-worth clients. Jean-Pascal Porcherot, Managing Partner at Lombard Odier, stated, “At Lombard Odier, we believe that system changes resulting from the transition to a more sustainable economy will result in profound changes in business models, value chains, and profit pools.”
