IATA and Chooose Partner to Deliver Accurate Flight Emissions Data
  • Chooose will provide IATA CO2 Connect emissions data to over 30 airline partners, enabling accurate, flight-specific carbon reporting for corporate and consumer travelers.
  • The integration supports growing demand for emissions transparency, especially from business travelers, with IATA research showing 40% regularly check their flight-related CO2.
  • IATA CO2 Connect, aligned with ISO 14083 and RP 1726, uses real operational inputs from 70+ airlines, setting a data-backed standard for aviation emissions tracking.

Chooose has signed an agreement with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to integrate IATA CO2 Connect data into its platform, expanding global access to flight-specific carbon emissions information. The partnership will allow Chooose’s more than 30 airline partners to deliver IATA’s emissions estimates—derived from actual operational data—to both corporate clients and travelers.

For years, Chooose has supported airlines, cargo, and travel companies with flexible access to emissions estimates to enable their SAF programs and customer-facing applications,” said Joseph Beaudin, Chooose CEO.The addition of IATA CO2 Connect gives our partners access to an IATA dataset that continuously improves as more airlines report operational inputs and SAF usage.”

IATA CO2 Connect provides data aligned with industry standards—namely IATA RP 1726 and ISO 14083—and accounts for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) usage. It draws on real-world performance data from more than 70 airlines, delivering accurate carbon footprint calculations across both passenger and cargo transport.

Chooose’s integration supports growing market demand for carbon transparency in aviation. IATA’s April 2025 research found that 40% of travelers—especially business travelers—regularly check their flight-related emissions. By embedding this verified data into their emissions tools, airlines can offer greater visibility and accountability.

IATA CO2 Connect is the only carbon calculator for travel emissions that is based on airline operational data. We want IATA CO2 Connect data to be as broadly available as possible so that those who are managing travel can do their work with the most accurate information. Working with Chooose is a key part of that strategy,” said Frederic Leger, IATA’s SVP Commercial Products & Services.

Chooose is a member of the IATA Strategic Partnerships Program and has contributed to the development of emissions standards and decarbonization strategies across the aviation sector. This collaboration further cements both organizations’ commitment to data-driven sustainability and transparent reporting.
