Kristal Kaye: Interim CEO of CarbonCure Technologies
Kaye joined CarbonCure as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in February 2024, where she quickly integrated into the company’s strategy and operations. In June 2025, she was appointed Interim CEO following the departure of founder Robert Niven, who transitioned to the Board of Director.
Kristal Kaye is a seasoned finance executive with over 30 years of experience in corporate strategy, financial management, and leadership across diverse industries including mining, energy, and retail pharmacy. She is currently serving as the Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CarbonCure Technologies, a leading cleantech company specializing in CO₂ mineralization for low-carbon concrete production. Based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Kaye is known for her straightforward leadership style, often described as a “superpower” for cutting through complexity to drive actionable climate solutions.
