Bain Appoints François Faelli as Global Managing Partner of ESG

Global consultancy Bain & Company announced the appointment of François Faelli to the newly created position of Global Managing Partner of ESG.  In his new role, Faelli will lead Bain’s ESG efforts, both within the firm and with clients, spearheading the company’s ambition “to create a more sustainable, equitable, and inclusive world.”

The appointment follows the launch in June by Bain of ‘Further,’ an integrated suite of ESG capabilities, working with clients to address challenges ranging from climate change to structural inequities and environmental degradation. Faelli will work with Bain’s 2,500+ team involved in this work.

Faelli has worked at Bain for over 23 years, and has been serving most recently as head of the firm’s Consumer Products practice, advising key consumer goods executives throughout Europe, Asia, North America, and Australia. In addition to his work at Bain, Faelli has also served as a professor of strategy Solvay Business School in Brussels since 2013.

Manny Maceda, Worldwide Managing Partner of Bain & Company, said:

“Over the past two decades, François has guided many of the leading consumer product companies on the planet through the tectonic shifts happening in their industries, including the growing urgency for corporations to address climate change and social inequities. In his new role, François will put his strategic expertise to work, helping our clients navigate the remarkable challenges and opportunities along their sustainability transformations.”
