I Squared Capital has appointed Ben Harper as Managing Director, Head of Sustainability, reinforcing its commitment to responsible investing. Based in Miami, Harper will lead environmental sustainability, climate risk, and ESG initiatives across the firm’s investment strategies.

Harper brings a wealth of experience, having previously served as Managing Director, Head of ESG at Stonepeak, and Head of Corporate Sustainability at Zurich North America Insurance. At Zurich, he led corporate social responsibility initiatives, climate targets, and risk transfer solutions for renewable energy and carbon transition projects.

Beyond corporate roles, Harper has played a pivotal role in shaping sustainability policies. His involvement spans the White House Interagency CCS Task Force, the EU’s Zero Emission Platform (ZEP), and the UN’s Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) Infrastructure Advisory Committee.

Harper holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Southern Polytechnic State University.
