This initiative, part of the Nestlé Cocoa Plan in partnership with the Rainforest Alliance, aligns with increasing consumer demand for responsibly sourced products. The range features personalized chocolate bars available in airports worldwide, emphasizing transparency and sustainability.

Nestlé Travel Retail is meeting the growing demand for sustainable products with its new exclusive chocolate range, available only in travel retail. This launch is part of Nestlé’s long-term commitment to responsible sourcing through the Nestlé Cocoa Plan, in collaboration with the Rainforest Alliance.

As travelers pass through airports this summer, they will encounter Nestlé’s Sustainably Sourced chocolate range. This initiative underscores Nestlé’s dedication to using responsibly sourced cocoa, catering to the 71% of travelers who prioritize sustainability in their purchasing decisions.

Aura Sanchez, Head of Marketing at Nestlé Travel Retail, remarked, “Through creative branding, we can provide transparency on the origin of the cocoa used in our chocolate. It enables us to raise awareness about our longstanding commitments to supporting cocoa-farming families and the long-term sustainability of cocoa production.

The new range features customizable 170g and 280g chocolate bars, allowing travelers to add personal messages to the product sleeves. Campaign visuals will also educate consumers about the Nestlé Cocoa Plan and its partnership with the Rainforest Alliance.

Nestlé’s commitment to sustainability is further demonstrated through their other confectionery brands, such as Smarties, which have transitioned to paper packaging. The new Sustainably Sourced Cocoa products will similarly be available in recyclable paper pouches.

The Nestlé Cocoa Plan, established fifteen years ago, focuses on three pillars: better farming, better lives, and better cocoa. This plan has positively impacted over 170,000 families, distributing 1.2 million trees to provide shade and moisture for crops, and pruning 20,000 hectares to improve productivity and reduce pests and diseases.
