OBATA Designs 50th ESG & Sustainability Report

ESG report design process has helped companies share their positive impacts on employees, local communities, and the world

OBATA, a creative agency with nearly 75 years of serving clients throughout North America and internationally, was recently engaged to design its 50th client report on ESG and sustainability. OBATA designs and develops ESG reports for corporations of all sizes including Fortune 500 firms, both public and private, across industries that include technology, infrastructure, transportation, financial services, manufacturing, and more.

For many clients, OBATA has created ESG reports spanning a number of years, many coinciding with the development of their annual reports, also designed by OBATA. “With the experience of producing literally hundreds of annual reports over the years, OBATA is well positioned to leverage our capabilities in design, photography, copywriting, and production to bring these ESG stories to life,” commented Rich Murphy, president of OBATA.

While many companies are actively producing and publishing ESG or sustainability reports, many more are just now beginning to dip their toes in the water and are not sure exactly how to get started. OBATA has helped numerous companies produce their inaugural ESG or sustainability reports. Paul Gassett, vice president at OBATA, stated, “From benchmarking to organizing the data, it’s helpful to have a partner who has guided dozens of companies through the process of sharing their ESG narratives and results.”

With a focus on strategy as a key component of any successful communication, OBATA has developed a process for creating ESG reports and sustainability reports called the OBATA 7-Step ESG Reporting Process. OBATA’s team consists of experts who bring together the essential elements of ESG reports, incorporating their skills in storytelling, ESG report design, infographics, and photography that, when all combined, result in a report that reflects a client’s progress toward achieving their ESG and sustainability goals. OBATA leadership is certified in ESG Disclosures by the Corporate Finance Institute.
