CDP, the global environmental disclosure platform, and EFRAG, Europe’s leader in corporate reporting, released a detailed correspondence mapping today, highlighting significant alignment between CDP’s question bank and the European Sustainability Reporting Standard for climate disclosures (ESRS E1).

The mapping specifically identifies commonalities in critical areas such as climate change transition plans, emissions targets, gross Scopes 1, 2, and 3 emissions, and internal carbon pricing.

This new resource streamlines reporting processes by clearly linking CDP disclosures with ESRS requirements, easing the preparation process for businesses already disclosing through CDP, and supporting firms aiming to meet ESRS E1 standards.

The initiative represents a pivotal advancement in ongoing collaboration between CDP and EFRAG, focusing on reducing corporate reporting burdens while facilitating compliance with the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
