In Honor of Earth Day, Logistics Property Co. Announces LEED® Commitment
Logistics Property Company, LLC (LPC) is pleased to announce all new developments will aim to achieve LEED®—Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design™—Certification. Earth Day is an important day to pause, reflect, and assess what it means to be engaged advocates for the preservation of the environment.
“LEED® certification is a globally recognized symbol of sustainability achievement, and we are proud to deliver buildings that have a responsible impact by reducing emissions and other greenhouse gases that are warming the planet and changing the Earth’s climate,” said LPC’s Senior Vice President – Head of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), Elena Daniel.
This important objective is integrated into LPC’s ESG Framework. As a result of LEED® certification, a building can be independently verified to ensure the design, construction, operations, and maintenance are resource-efficient, high performing, healthy, and cost-effective.
“With the goal of achieving LEED® certification, our team is making a difference in the environment and producing cutting-edge logistics facilities,” said LPC’s Executive Vice President – Construction, Phil Adamski.

For building design and construction, LEED® v4.1 allows LPC’s properties to take the lead on key sustainable priorities, including:
- reduced electricity by at least 30 percent
- minimized use of indoor and outdoor water
- enhanced indoor air quality strategies in buildings
- reduced occupants’ exposure to indoor airborne contaminants, and
- use of low-emitting materials to reduce concentrations of chemical contaminants that can damage air quality, human health, productivity, and the environment
LPC currently has 17 buildings pre-registered for LEED® certification totaling 10.7 million square feet. This comprises five that are currently under construction totaling 5 million square feet, and twelve that are expected to begin construction later this year totaling 5.7 million square feet.
