Germany and Australia signed a $660 million deal to strengthen green hydrogen supply chains, equally funded by both governments. The agreement aims to provide European buyers for Australia’s renewable hydrogen producers, reinforcing international cooperation on clean energy.
This agreement not only deepens bilateral ties but also positions Australia as a major exporter of renewable energy. Australian Minister for Climate and Energy, Chris Bowen, highlighted the global demand for green hydrogen: “The world needs it. We can make it. And we can ship it to our partners or use it to make green products, chemicals, and fuels in Australia to export to the world.”
